- LMU/CSUN students researching Holocaust information. Renee Firestone: Renee Firestone is a Holocaust survivor who travels the country telling audiences about her experiences in Auschwitz. She was the founding lecturer for the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Education Outreach Program and is a presenter in the Tools for Tolerance Program. She appeared in the Academy Award-winning documentary ‘The Last Days’, narrating the story of her Holocaust experiences. Born: April 13
Watching the Last Days and hearing Renee talk about this swimsuit and everything it meant to her is humbling, and reminds us of all the things we take for granted on a daily basis.
